February 2026
From the Mountain Public Schools: On Sunday, February 1st, we will be kicking off our Schools on the Move 5210 Challenge! Schools with the highest participation can win lots of money for P.E. equipment. Each student that completes the challenge with 80 or more boxes checked, gets a shirt at the end of the contest. Forms will be sent home or filled out in class, depending on the school, so check with your student to make sure they are participating and keeping track of their points. At the end of the month a digital form will be available for parents to fill out here: https://redcap.ucdenver.edu/surveys/?s=RJHT4RMHP7NNR479
The deadline to complete the form is March 5th. We hope you all consider participating. The kids love getting a free shirt, which are great for field trips so all the kids can match. We also wear them at Game Fest, so you don’t want to miss out!

According to the US Forest Service, Larimer County has a greater wildfire likelihood than 92% of counties in the United States. It’s important that we, as a community, collaborate around wildfire preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. Our community is invited to review and comment on the 2025 update to Larimer County’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). Learn more, read the CWPP update, and provide your feedback at https://www.larimer.gov/sheriff/emergency-services . Public comments will be collected from January 30-February 13, 2026.
