There was a request to hike from dowdy lake, and if the snow is not too deep, we will try frog pond.
Date: April 22nd
Time:meet at 9:30 at Dowdy Lake trailhead and leave at 9:45
Trail: Frog Pond
Difficulty: moderate to hard.. it is about 6 to 7 miles round trip.
It is supposed to be warmer by Monday. Randy said there wasn’t any snow a couple of days ago but there will be more snow this weekend. Bring tracks if you got them.

♦Magic Feather Prescribed Burn near Red Feather Lakes as soon as April 23, 2024.  The Magic Feather Prescribed Burn is located east and southeast of Red Feather Lakes. This project is a continuation of burning that took place over the past few years, most recently in fall 2023 when 755 acres were successfully burned. Burning operations will occur throughout the spring as conditions allow and will include as many as 4,000 acres, located south of County Road 74E Red Feather Lakes Road.
