Friends of the Red Feather Lakes Library

The Friends support the Red Feather Lakes Community Library and makes sure the heart of the library keeps pumping. Our mission is to actively support the Red Feather Lakes Library through fundraising activities and interactions with the community and other library organizations. Your membership dues and donations support the library to offer better programming for adults and kids, new releases of books and DVDs, games, computers, cool devices and free WiFi. Members also serve as volunteers on special committees, assist with various projects, and bring the spirit of community to the many Friends-sponsored events. By giving to us, we can give back to you. We are a 501 c3 non-profit and all of your membership dues and donations are tax deductible.

Dear Library Supporters,

The Friends of the Red Feather Lakes Community Library want to take this opportunity to thank you for being wonderful supporters of our amazing library and we wish you a Happy Spring on this wonderfully snowy day!  Last year, 2023 was a great membership year, enabling the library to remain innovative and responsive to the needs of our community because of your generous membership support.  The RFL library strives to actively evolve to meet the needs of our community and maximize your donations to help our community face its challenges with flexibility and kindness.  Please take a moment to enjoy the tri-fold poster that is on display at the library which illustrates  all the ways the Friends were able to support the library in 2023.

As you are already aware, the Friends is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to actively support the RFL Community Library through fund-raising activities and interactions with the community and other library organizations.   The Friends raise funds to be able to support the library by holding book fairs three times a year, hosting an Annual Dinner for members, and potential members, of the Friends and by maintaining past members and recruiting future members to the Friends.

This is one of our favorite times of the year when we host the Annual Friends Dinner Meeting and we hope you will be able to join us.

Please find attached a flyer detailing the 2024 Friends Annual Dinner Meeting and how you can make your reservation.   We only have seating for 80 so please send your request for reservations early.

 

Also please find attached a “2024 Annual Membership to the Friends of the Red Feather Lakes Community Library” form should you choose, again this year, to donate to the Friends.  Many of you have already donated to the Friends this year and we feel very fortunate that so many of you continue to contribute each year.  Your donations are greatly appreciated and we thank you profusely.

WHERE:  Red Feather Lakes POA: 58 Firehouse Lane, Red Feather Lakes

 

COST:  $25.00 per person

MENU:  Presented by Brett Oberhammer

  • Stuffed Shells
  • Rice Pilaf
  • Green salad and rolls with butter
  • Dessert
  • Coffee, water, iced tea and lemonade

 

ENTERTAINMENT:  Will be provided by our very own resident comedian, Sumukh Torgalkar.

Reservations are due, with prepayment, by June 15, 2024.
